Seattle Washington

Seattle. You have my heart. I could never afford to live with you, but I will visit you any chance I get! This last weekend I took a trip to Seattle, and spent a good few hours at the market with just myself and my camera. I absolutely love Pike Street Market. The people, the colors, the smell of the flowers and STARBUCKS! I love it all. Enjoy!

International Women’s Day

“I am a strong woman because a strong woman raised me.” ~Unknown

International Women’s Day. Women celebrating women. Women standing together. I had the privilege of photographing an International Women’s Day event in March. The day was full of women supporting women, laughter, food, fun and vendors! Here are some of the photos from that day!

Sierra – Roosevelt High School Senior

It’s Sierrrrrraaaa! I had to, and I always greet her like that when I see her! Last year I had the pleasure of photographing her brother, Rayquan’s senior photos – now I was lucky enough to photograph her. We ended up picking the windiest day on the waterfront, but we made it work. The light was perfect. The color was perfect. Sierra was perfect. Enjoy!

The Grotto – Portland, Oregon – Spring

The Grotto is a national Catholic shrine dedicated to Mary, Our Sorrowful Mother, which is a ministry of the Servite Friars – Order of Friar Servants of Mary.

The Grotto strives to provide a welcoming presence and a beautiful environment conducive to peace, quiet, and spiritual inspiration.

The Grotto offers understanding, compassion, support and hope through a variety of ministries such as spiritual direction and liturgical celebrations.

The Grotto endeavors to serve all people.

I have made two separate trips to The Grotto – PDX and have fallen in love. With the beauty, the quiet, the peace. Every time I visit I always have to go to the upper gardens and just walk around with my camera. Here are some of my favorite photos that I have taken. You can see more of my work featured on The Grotto’s social media platforms via Instagram and facebook! Enjoy!

Puppy Kisses

The dog is the perfect portrait subject. He doesn’t pose. He isn’t aware of the camera. ~Patrick Demarchelier

How adorable is Toby?! This little guy is full of energy and will exhaust you before you can exhaust him! The quote above might apply to most dogs, but not Toby. He wanted to eat the lens the majority of the time I was with him. Enjoy!

  • Each client will receive 5 digital images and a $25 credit for their time. The $25 credit can be used on any future shoot that you hold with me. (The credit expires one year from shoot).

When I See You Again…

EMERSON DRIVE – WHEN I SEE YOU AGAIN

I still talk to you
Whenever I’m alone
I hear you in my prayers
Feel you in the wind that blows

I wonder how you are
What you’re doing way up there
Are you laughing or are you crying
Cause you miss us all down here

Only god knows when
You’ll smile and take my hand
When I see you again
When I see you again

I wish I had the chance
To hold you one last time
It hurts me to know you never got to say goodbye

You’re never really gone
Your memory remains
I miss you more than words could ever help me to explain

Only god knows when
This road I’m on will end
When I see you again

I’ll see you when the set runs out
When the song is over and the curtain falls down
I’ll see you on the other side
You can show me what it’s like

Only god knows when
You’ll smile and take my hand
I’ll say how you been
When I see you again
I’ll see you again

Canby High School Senior Photos: Shawn

I had the privilege of photographing Shawn’s senior photos for Canby High School. When Shawn graduated from 8th grade, I was there to snap a few graduation photos of him then – and now…HE’S A SENIOR! Where did the time go? We shot his photos at Molalla River State Park on one of the last sunny days we have had for the month of October and the weather held out! (Thank you weather God’s!) His girlfriend joined us for the shoot as well, and I was able to snag a couple of photos of the two of them together. The thing I love about photographing Shawn is how funny he is. We could be trying to take the most serious photo ever, and he will be there to crack a joke and make everybody just say…”Oh Shawn…”

Thank you Christie for picking me to take his senior photos. Now, here are a few sneak peeks from the shoot! Enjoy!
